Morningstar caters to individuals who make their own investment decisions, from 401k elections to stock picks. Speaking directly with users, our small team worked to uncover behavior patterns around the decision process.

The second release of Morningstar's iPhone app doubled the scope of the app. I learned a lot—as the design lead, I figured out architecture, worked with an excellent offshore team, learned Apple Interface Builder and designed each new screen.

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) employed a team to identify a business opportunity in home healthcare. We designed a service by using human-centered design methods to identify the needs of our demographic and pitched a business model to VCs.

A series of props, including a 15˝ asparagus and 6˝ molar, were created from bristol vellum as film props for independent short film, Esperanto.

A personal project created for a gallery show. I asked friends to describe a dream they recently had, and recreated them as white paper, shoe box-size dioramas.
